Tumbleweed Tiny Houses

Today, the day of days, I went with Julia to see the a Tumbleweed Tiny House on display in CT.

If you haven't had the chance, check out the website. I find the idea of living in as little at 67 square feet of space challenging. I really want to invest in one of these.

While I did not have the chance to meet the creators, we where able to crawl around the efficient Fencl model. To my dismay, they no longer have the model I really liked up on the website. I hope they still plan to have it in their line. The one I really fancied had an extra bedroom (maybe the footprint of a full mattress sized room) that if I would use as a studio. So with the Tiny House, I could have a mobile home and work space. [Edit: They still do! I am just pretty and not that smart. It's the Lusby.]

My fascination with the Tumbleweed line springs from my ever-present drive to live a green lifestyle. (Small steps, such as reusable shopping bags and recycling all products possible, walking to work, etc.) I like the idea of not needed acres of land, but finding a small patch to park and enjoying the public land that so many of us take for granted.

The loft and the window. I love this little window.

I just wonder if I could live in this small of a space. Or, possibly, if two people could. My feeling is where would you go to have some alone time? And where would my shoes live. I own a... and undetermined amount of shoes (I've been called Imelda Marcos). It was a struggle to move with only taking 11 pairs. I would need a supplementary trailer for my shoes. And a bike rack on the side for Roxie, my pink Schwinn bike.
